what it is.

i am a writer, an activist, a healer, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a lover, a foodie, a twitterwhore, a doula, a loudmouth, a dancer, and a simple woman with a million things to do.

this blog is where i discuss crafting, love, life, the struggle, friendships, and everything in between.  it is an amalgamation of three separate blogs; this blog is held together by the sticky icky glutinous messiness that is my own humanity.

this blog is a safe space.  in addition to writings of a personal nature (remembrances, etc.), i write about my socio-political views here.  those blog posts are dedicated to helping dismantle the sources of oppression that cripple all humanity and ensuring that the blog’s author and readers are able to gain an understanding of one another.  that being said, we do not all have to hold hands and sing around campfires in order to understand each other.  agreeing to disagree may occur often, but it is with respect for each other that we will be able to make moves in the direction of rightness.

the ground rules are few, but important: respect the opinions of others.  don’t be afraid to ask questions.  act like you have some home training when you comment here.  feel free to link to me, but give credit where it’s due.  mind your light.

happy reading.
